UCAS Statement for Higher Education institutions
Lady Margaret School is a high-achieving all-girls Church of England Academy in Fulham, London. We are consistently in the top 25% of Sixth Forms nationally for the progress our students make from GCSE to A Level and we offer 18 subjects at post-16.
We do not offer any vocational qualifications post-16. We have high expectations and aspirations for our students whether they stay with us or join us for their education after GCSEs.
Students in Year 13 typically follow three A Level subjects. Some students have taken opportunity to submit an Extended Project Qualification.

Applying for University through UCAS after you have left Lady Margaret School
Please note that if you are re-taking any examinations as a private candidate at another centre we are unable to provide you with a predicted grade for that subject.
Register for UCAS Apply 2025 and complete the application form. You need to request to link your application to Lady Margaret School by entering the buzzword, which for Apply 2025 is “goodlyheritage2025” (all lower case).
Then we have to “accept” your request. It may take us 3 weeks to write and upload a reference so you need to be organised and factor in this time! Please adhere to the cohort deadlines above.
You should continue to use Unifrog to research university courses and for helping you to draft your personal statement. You may wish to send your final draft of the personal statement via Unifrog to the most relevant Head of Department for feedback – please email them first if you wish to do so. Access your account at www.unifrog.org. Use the two help guides for the 2025 cycle, accessible under the ‘UCAS and Apprenticeships’ tab on the Sixth Form Google Classroom.
Please email Miss Walton to confirm you have submitted your UCAS application via Apply 2025, attaching the following:
- Completed ‘UCAS Application Submission Form’ – shared with you via email and also available on the Sixth Form Google Classroom
- A download of your completed UCAS form
Please ensure that you provide any updated contextual information or updates on what you are doing this academic year that should be added to your reference on Unifrog. This might include further work experience or gap year activities. This should be recorded in Section 2 Extenuating circumstances and/ or Section 3 overall reference notes in the pink ‘Notes for Reference writers’ Unifrog tool. If you have no updates, please record ‘None’ in both Section 2 and Section 3.
This must be done by Friday 8 November 2024 if you want to meet the 29 January 2025 deadline for online applications to UCAS, but earlier the better!
If you wish, you can request an appointment to come in and see Miss Walton to discuss your UCAS application and to check your reference – please contact Miss Walton to arrange a convenient time.
