At Lady Margaret School we request that our parents and carers make an additional voluntary contribution to help fund activities which are not covered by our school budget. This fund is known as The Rose Fund.
We would be delighted if you would be able to contribute towards The Rose Fund and help us continue our legacy of building a ‘goodly heritage’ for all of our students.
Our preferred form of payment is a regular monthly donation. To donate please click on the link below or use the QR code:

Why do we need The Rose Fund?
The Rose Fund has become essential to bridge the gap between Government Funding and what we can offer our students to provide the learning environment that they all deserve. We support projects across the whole school and all departments, enhancing our facilities and providing resources for the students.

Examples of how we use The Rose Fund
Your donation means that 100% of our students can have the opportunity to participate in a wide variety of activities, clubs and trips.
The Rose Fund supports students in the whole school by using your donations to finance a range of different and varied activities, workshops and classes. Examples of these include a Year 7 bonding trip to Canterbury, a gift to each student in Year 8 of a fiction book to inspire and encourage reading. Years 9-11 benefit from a range of activities such as, God & The Big Bang Theory Workshop, the Arts Challenge and The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Scheme Licence Fee.
Our Sixth Formers benefit from an excellent Student Well Being programme, help choosing their university and degree courses using Unifrog, University Interview Coaching and sessions such as Yoga and Meditation.
To help us continue delivering activities and resources like this for 100% of our students, we would be delighted if you would donate to The Rose Fund. Our preferred form of payment is a regular monthly donation. To donate please click on the button below or use our QR code.

Student and Parent Testimonies
‘We have the privilege of our daughters attending a school like LMS that is led by a committed management team and dedicated staff. It is up to every single one of us who are able, to give what they can and step forward to bolster their efforts. LMS is an incredible school with amazing academic results and more, but it can only stay that way with your support. This is why I give what I can, and I hope each of you do the same.’
Year 10/12 Parent
‘In a period of economic uncertainty and budget cuts, our monthly voluntary donations to the school is an absolute necessity to make sure the leadership team has enough funds to operate and develop the school in the right direction. It is not the size of your donation that matters – every pound and penny really makes a big difference!’
Year 9 Parent
‘I feel so lucky to have had three daughters educated at LMS. The school does an amazing job. My daughters have been so happy and done so well. I cannot take such opportunities for granted. I want to support the school in order for LMS to be able to continue its good work for future generations of students.’
Past Parent
‘Unifrog has been so helpful in my application to university. It has so many different tools and interactive features that helped me find the right course and university for me. I really enjoyed taking the personality test and seeing what careers it recommended to me as a result.’
Sixth Form Student
I was so excited when I received my book and it encouraged me to read the next two books in the trilogy. Thank you to The Rose Fund!

Donating to The Rose Fund
Donating to The Rose Fund is easy and there are a variety of ways to donate, ranging from a one-off cash donation to a monthly, quarterly or annual standing order from your bank account.
We prefer to receive a regular monthly donation from our parents and carers as this enables the school to plan a programme of activity for our students over the whole year.
How much should I donate?
Most of our parents donate through a regular standing order payment. Parents typically give between £10 to £100 per month with donations most commonly being in multiples of £20, £30 and £50 per month, per student. We also have some very generous parents who donate much higher sums either annually or monthly.
We are grateful for all donations we receive no matter how small or large they are. We also appreciate that not everybody is able to donate. All of our students benefit from The Rose Fund regardless of who donates or not.
Donate with Giftaid
Please Giftaid your donation if you are a UK Taxpayer. This will enable the school to claim 25p for every £1 donated. Only 37% of our donors use Giftaid and we are very keen to increase this percentage, for obvious reasons.
There are various ways to use Giftaid depending on how you donate. Please see below for further details.
