Year 7 Admissions for September 2021
Outcome emails and letters informing parents of the outcomes of applications to the school will be dispatched by their local authorities during the evening of 1st March 2021. Lady Margaret School will dispatch its outcome letters on 2nd March 2021.
Under the terms of the 1998 Education Act, parents whose children are not offered a place at the school of their choice may appeal against the decision to an independent panel.
If you decide to appeal, you must lodge the official appeal form with the Clerk to the Independent Admission Appeals Panel at the London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham, not the school. You can download the form by using the Appeal Form 2021.
Alternatively, you can request a copy from the school office.
You must set out in the form the grounds on which the appeal is made and enclose any supporting documents.
You should send the appeal form to Independent Admission Appeals Panel, Governance and Scrutiny, Room 203, Hammersmith Town Hall, King Street, London W6 9JU or email directly Bathsheba.Mall@lbhf.gov.uk. Appeals must be received no later than Wednesday, 12th May 2021.
It is anticipated that appeals will take place in June and July and will be held over a number of days. Parents who lodge an appeal will be given at least 10 school days’ notice of their hearing. The school has not reserved any places so that they can be filled after an appeal. Last year there were three appeals. None was successful.
The Government has changed the procedures for school admission appeals because of coronavirus. Please see the Government guidance Changes to school admission appeals due to coronavirus
