Lady Margaret School are pleased to announce we are the winner of the ‘London Comprehensive School of the Year 2024’ in this year’s Sunday Times Parent Power Schools Guide!
Year 7 Admissions for September 2024
The outcomes of applications to the school for Year 7 places in September 2024 were released by their local authorities 1st of March 2024, National Offer Day. Lady Margaret School outcome letters were dispatched on Monday 4th, March 2024.
Under the terms of the 1998 Education Act, parents whose children are not offered a place at the school of their choice may appeal against the decision to an independent panel. If you decide to make an appeal you must lodge this with the Clerk to the Independent Admission Appeals Panel, not the school. You should use the appeal form below which is also available from the school office.
You must set out in the form the grounds on which the appeal is made and enclose any supporting documents. If you wish to appeal this should be sent to the email address on the form for receipt no later than Monday, 20th May 2024.
It is anticipated that appeals will take place in June and July and will be held over a number of days. Parents who lodge an appeal will be given at least 10 school days’ notice of their hearing. The school has not reserved any places so that they can be filled after an appeal. Last year out of four appeals heard one was successful.
You can read the Government guidance on school appeals on their website below.
