Paying for School Meals
We operate a cashless catering system that links directly with Parent Pay. Parents and carers need to ensure that a student’s Parent Pay account is sufficiently topped up so that they have enough money to pay for their school meals. Please ensue that accounts are topped up by 8am for the credit to be applied by lunch time on the same day.
Students can only pay for their lunch using an ‘Oyster’ or ‘Zip’ card which are available from TfL. All students are required to have one of these cards. There is an automatic spending limit applied of £6 a day for each student.
Free School Meals
Students in receipt of a Free School Meals Allowance are required to have an ‘Oyster’ or ‘Zip’ card in order to receive their Free School Meal Allowance.
Students who are eligible for free school meals automatically receive a daily allowance on their ‘Oyster’ or ‘Zip’ card that can be used at lunch time. The Free School Meals Allowance cannot be used at morning break.
Free school meals students have the option to choose a hot or cold meal deal offer at lunch time.
Any items purchased at morning break or that are not included in the meal deal will need to be paid for in full. It will not be possible to offset the Free School Meals Allowance against these items.
Parents and carers of free school meal students therefore need to ensure that a student’s account is sufficiently topped up in order to pay for items not included in the Free School Meals Allowance.
