Providing health care and confidential advice
Our school nurse has two main roles:
1. To give confidential advice, care and treatment to pupils and their parents and/or guardians
2. To look after and protect pupils’ physical and emotional health
Our school nurse is Ms Kathryn Higham. She is in school on Mondays and Thursdays.
Girls, parents / guardians or staff can drop in, or make an appointment to see her via a note to reception or telephone: 020 8846 6812. (Kathryn visits other schools so when you are making contact please remember to mention LMS, your daughter’s name, her date of birth and what class she is in).
The health questionnaire is given out to all new joiners. A copy will be given to your daughter at school. You should complete and return it to Kathryn via school so she can support any health concerns while in school.
Kathryn is involved with teaching the following topics:
Year 7 and 8: Healthy eating
Year 9: Contraception, Sexually Transmitted Infections, (STIs) sex and the law
